Architect/Gather — I began by researching the topic and outlining the key areas to address in the course. Collaborating closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), I refined the outline using Mind Manager to create a comprehensive mind map. This visual framework organized the course into modules, lessons, resources, and critical content areas, ensuring alignment between learning objectives and technical requirements.
Design — With the mind map as a foundation, I developed a detailed course blueprint. This included course elements such as headers, subheadings, page layouts, and knowledge checks. Because this was a highly technical course, I partnered with SMEs throughout the design phase to validate accuracy. I also mapped out multimedia needs, such as images, interactions, video scripts, and narration, planning how each asset would best support learner engagement and comprehension.
Develop — In the development phase, I brought the course plan to life in Articulate Rise. Verified content was transformed into an interactive, learner-friendly course that combined audio generated through WellSaid Labs, custom assets, and images curated from Shutterstock. At this stage, I focused on creating a seamless learning experience where content, visuals, and interactions worked together to support both understanding and retention.
Evaluation — Learner participation was closely monitored through PowerBI dashboards, in partnership with the Learning Experience team who manages our LMS. To reinforce long-term retention and measure competency, we implemented Qstream to deliver randomized "pop" quizzes via email. These micro-assessments, curated with SME input, provided ongoing insights into learner understanding and helped confirm knowledge was applied beyond the course.
